Change to EPB Regulations delayed

Below is the official statement summarising the changes to EPB regulations received from DCLG today. Sustainability important to property valuations

The RICS has issued a new paper stating that a homes sustainable features should be considered as part of property valuations. The new paper entitled Sustainability and Residential Property information paper, RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) says that at present sustainability is not seen as important when valuing a property. Energy Assessors

Our Assessors are CRB checked and are accredited by the Building Research Establishment which is the most respected and trusted scheme in the market. We operate under the strictest quality control and UKAS accreditation.

EPC Quotes

EPCs can be quoted, ordered and tracked using our web based system. Alternatively we are more than happy to provide quotes and advice over the telephone or by email.

Display Energy Certificate (DEC)

Since October 2008 all properties - homes, commercial and public buildings - when, sold, built or rented have needed an EPC and larger public buildings need to display a Display Energy Certificate (DEC).

Air Conditioning Energy Certificates

All existing air-conditioning systems over 12kW must now have an air-conditioning energy assessment. These requirements are a part of European legislation - the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive - which all member states must adopt.

BREEAM

We can carry out BREEAM in use assessments and energy audits, as well as Building Surveys and Home Condition Reports.
